Chimney Corner Lounge

Went for a couple of meals here and it was a great experience except for one item. During dinner it appeared that they forgot my meal. It was a group of 10 and unfortunately they only brought my add on side. By the time they brought my meal everyone had already finished their dinner. The server was awesome and apologetic and they proactively took care of the meal so I did appreciate that. Both the food at dinner and breakfast the next day was very delicious though it did seem the kitchen was a bit slow even when the restaurant wasn’t full. The cocktails were definitely a hit with the group, creative and delicious! The servers and hosts were very friendly and attentive though so overall a 4 star though close to a 5 if not for the aforementioned challenges.

SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS The service provided during our visit was exceptional. Jorge and Liam, were professional and attentive servers, ensuring our group received great service throughout the various meals we enjoyed during our stay. FOOD OPTIONS AND MENU OPTIONS The dining options are a key strength, particularly the inclusive menu which offers excellent choices for people who require gluten-free, vegan, or keto options. Our group enjoyed the evening buffet dinner, though it should be noted that the buffet is not offered every day. For other mealtimes, breakfast is buffet available, while lunch is strictly off the menu. The food quality was very good! SEATING AND AMBIANCE The restaurant offers a comfortable, casual atmosphere. Seating is flexible, accommodating both small and large groups with table seating for 2 up to 10 people. Arrangements include comfortable bench seating, and guests have the choice of sitting near the window or by the fireplace. Reservations in advance are preferred. LIVE MUSIC AND ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere is pleasant and casual. Steph Odette provided easy listening music with her guitar to accompany the dinner, which contributed a nice and relaxing atmosphere to the meal. SUMMARY This restaurant has excellent service (thanks to Jorge and Liam) and other staff members, as well as great food quality, and a menu that successfully caters to various dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan and keto). The setting is casual and comfortable, and the inclusion of easy listening guitar music from Steph Odette helped to create a pleasant dining experience. Annie W. Ordered linguine and salmon. Both dishes were great. Service was a bit slow but the live music and the fire place made up for it with great ambiance Update: During our 6 night stay, we were served twice by Abbey from Australia. She was possibly the best of all the service staff at Sunshine Mountain. Attentive, polite, engaging and pleasant. Thanks Abbey for making our meals all the more enjoyable

The 1 star reviews are unwarranted. I have dined here 5-7 times across multiple seasons. The food and drinks are great. The service however is all over the place in quality due to the nature of their seasonal staffing. Sometimes the service is meh, sometimes it is great. We have had issues arise during our times here that have all been addressed and reconciled nicely and without further issues. Even with our less experienced servers we haven't had any issues warranting a 1 star experience. The most consistent issue we have here is we always need to hunt down our server for our bill. This has happened nearly every time we have dined here, and I do think that needs to be addressed.

Really enjoy the ability to sit down with the crew for lunch. Views of the hill and warmth of a fireplace, if you're super lucky. Food quality has really improved this year and prices seem reasonable - although they're the only ski hill in the world without poutine

My partner and I stayed at the resort during the summer for our honeymoon. The lounge has a great atmosphere, great dinner/breakfast food, and a decent selection of gluten free options. It also feels reasonably priced, especially for being halfway up a mountain!

Jess from South UK was wonderful and polite. The food was delicious. Portion size was acceptable. Drinks seemed surprisingly under priced. Gorgeous space since they renovated a few years ago. My favorite place to eat and relax at Sunshine.

The restaurant is in the second floor above the Starbucks connected to the hotel reception. The food is above averagefor a ski resort. The menu is small with multiple vegetarian options. I recommend the French Union soup and the Sunshine burger. The best part of this place is the atmosphere, it is cozy and a great break from the hectic ski hills. The only downside of this place is the cost, it's almost 1.5 times the cost of the cafeteria.
